On 17th September, Hackney Carnival illuminated Hackney Wick, celebrating the richness of diverse communities and cultures. Previse Events, was hired by Hackney Council as the Health & Safety Manager for this remarkable event. The Hackney Carnival featured four parades for both adults and children, intended to unite communities across the borough. A unique challenge arose from the open accessibility of popular local venues like Hackney Bridge, Queens Yard, and Grow, resulting in unpredictable crowd sizes.
Previse Events implemented a comprehensive safety strategy to ensure the well-being of all attendees, including Risk Assessments, Crowd Management Plans, Emergency Dispersal Plans, and Supplier, Contractor, and Venue Safety Reviews. Hackney Carnival emerged as a resounding success, with diverse communities coming together in joyous celebration. Despite the challenges posed by the open venues and weather our meticulous planning and safety measures ensured a secure and memorable event for all.

Previse Events played a pivotal role in managing safety and overseeing the Battersea Park Coronation Festival and Eurovision Screenings, attended by over 30,000 people from May 6th to May 13th, 2023. Our responsibility as Project Manager and Health & Safety specialist encompassed a diverse range of entertainment, including Coronation screenings, live music, community activities, and Eurovision events.
Our meticulous safety approach was central to the success of these large-scale international gatherings. We meticulously handled event delivery, stakeholder engagement, licensing compliance, and day-to-day operations. Our comprehensive safety measures included Event Safety Management Plans, Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments, Crowd Management Plans, and Supplier, Contractor, and Food Trader Reviews.
The result was a series of events that celebrated culture and entertainment while prioritising the safety and well-being of all participants. Previse Events, representing Cellar Door, played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the Casamigos Activation at All Points East, a prestigious event in Victoria Park, attended by 40,000 people from August 18th to 28th, 2023. Our responsibility was to oversee the health and safety of the Casamigos bar and VIP activation area.
Our unwavering commitment to safety encompassed the meticulous creation of essential safety documents, including a comprehensive Event Safety Plan, thorough Risk Assessments, clear Site Rules, and comprehensive Staff Safety Inductions.
Beyond document creation, our team maintained a vigilant on-site presence throughout the festival, ensuring the safety of festival-goers. We managed crowd flow and implemented effective queue management strategies to maintain order and security.
The result was a harmonious blend of safety and style in the Casamigos Activation. Previse Events, working on behalf of Cellar Door, ensured that every moment spent in the Casamigos bar and VIP activation area was not only enjoyable but also exceptionally safe.
Previse Events played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham's Summer of Festivals, a community-focused event attended by 100,000 participants in both the summers of 2021 and 2022. Subcontracted by Mountain Events, our team assumed the crucial position of Site Crew Manager, providing essential support to the core Event Production team and the Site Manager.
Throughout the event season, Previse Events took a proactive stance in guaranteeing the safety and well-being of all festival-goers. Previse Events played a pivotal role in overseeing Noise Management at the enchanting "How the Light Gets In" event from May 26th to May 29th, 2023. Subcontracted by Calvin Hanks Associates, our mission was to ensure the strict adherence to the noise management plan throughout the event's duration. Previse Events' commitment to noise management played a crucial role in the success of "How the Light Gets In," ensuring that the event not only delighted its 9,000 attendees but also adhered to stringent noise regulations.
Our primary duty revolved around maintaining the meticulously crafted noise management plan. This entailed continuous monitoring of sound levels and swift actions to guarantee compliance with noise regulations.
We served as the direct bridge between noise management efforts and event management. Through real-time reporting and seamless communication channels, we facilitated coordinated efforts to align event objectives with noise regulations.
Beyond the event's conclusion, we undertook the vital task of generating comprehensive post-event reports. These documents provided a detailed analysis of noise levels, their impact, and proposed adjustments or enhancements for future events.
